In case you didn’t know….(cause I shared it like 1,527 times!) I’m back to work and my time now is limited. Sometimes I come home from a long day at work and I have to figure out what to make for dinner.
On busy days I like to cook something simple yet healthy and delicious. One on my favorite recipes to make is Bistec encebollado which consist of really thin-sliced pieces of steak, pan-fry cooked and top with caramelized onions.
This recipe calls for sofrito .

Oh love making this for my family, it’s a quick and delicious meal 🙂
quick and delicious indeed 😉
This looks great! One of my favorite cuts to use for recipes like this is tri-tip – such a juicy and relatively inexpensive cut of meat.
Oh wow!! That looks delicious! I will definitely try it!
Yes, you marinate before cooking! I believe that is the secret to excellent steak.
YUM! This looks delicious and easy on it’s own, but it would be great in a tortilla or pita too! I love quick dinners!
This looks so great! So yummy!!
Looks great! 🙂 and easy too.. I’ll try making this soon…

Wow, this looks so good! I love to find some creative and new recipes to have for dinner. This is being added to that list, thank you for sharing!
Sorry to be ignorant but what’s sofrito? Never heard of it before.
Sofrito is a mixtures of different spices and is commonly used in Latin cuisine here is the recipe.
This looks really good. Of course, being from Texas, I’d want to put this in a tortilla! Thanks for sharing.
Oh I goes really well with tortilla. Try it!
I love this recipe! Definitely looks easy and quick for busy moms like me too!
Easy indeed!
This looks so yummy! I wish it was on the menu for lunch!
lol! Glad you like it.
YUM! This looks so good and so easy. I love these types of meat and veggie recipes. 🙂
Thanks!
So glad you put sofrito on my radar. Just saw your explanation in the comments. It is so funny when something is so common to our cupboard, but then you post it and people are like “what’s that?” Thanks for being my question mark of the day. I’m Vietnamese so I always stir fry with Oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, hoisin sauce, and herbs.
I love Asian food! I never had Vietnamese, I would love to try some day.
