Batida de papaya o lechoza (Papaya Milkshake)

papaya-shake

Summer is approaching and making milkshakes in my house its a must.

papaya

Papaya is tropical fruit very popular in many countries, it is packed with many nutrients which are beneficial for our health. Fresh ripe Papaya can be eating raw or can be drink in shakes; unripe green Papaya is eaten in some countries as a vegetable, either cooked in soups or stews, or raw in salads. We also make a dessert with green Papaya: Dulce de lechoza (Papaya in light syrup)

I love when the Papaya fruit is really ripe and it has that deep orange color, perfect to make smoothies.

Recipe:

Serve: 2 people

  • 2 cups of Ripe Papaya. Diced.
  • 1 (12 oz) can of evaporated milk (or your favorite milk)
  • 2 cups of ice cubes
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until getting a smooth consistency.
  • Serve immediately

Que rico y cremoso te ha quedado.
Me encanta la papaya, lechosa, frutabomba o como quiera que le digan. De decir cada palabra ya se me hace agua la boca.
