Traditional Creamy Coleslaw

Summer is approaching and this easy and traditional creamy coleslaw is the perfect side dish for your next gathering.

easy coleslaw

Coleslaw is a salad that is commonly served as a side dish in many traditional meals; specially during the Summer. This salad is mainly prepared with shredded raw cabbage but others raw veggies can be added to it– like carrots, broccoli and even onions.

coleslaw

Nothing beats a traditional coleslaw salad–one of my favorite side dishes!

creamy dressing

The dressing for this slaw is quite simple; it consist of mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seeds and black pepper. I don’t like to add salt to my coleslaw since the mayo contains enough.

cabbage and carrots

Instead of shredding the cabbage and carrots myself; I took a short cut and I bought a 14 oz bag of coleslaw mixture. Fast and simple.
Here is the recipe:

This recipe goes really well with burgers, chicken, French fries and everything else you can think of!

Serve it next time you are having a gathering with friends and family.
