How To Decorate Your Home Radiators

Disclosure: This post is written in a collaboration with Silk Plans Direct. All opinions are mine alone.

Owning a house is a blessing, but one of the things I didn’t like when we bought our home, was the old radiators; I dislike those “big metal boxes” in the living room ( and all the other rooms) that will not allow you to decorate and move your furniture as you want.

Unfortunately, I can not change the fact that I have old radiators unless I’m willing to pay big bucks to get a new heating system. So, I decided to see the positive side of having “metal tables” right by my windows and decorate them to change the look to something more modern.

Since my old radiators have a metal shelf over them, this is what I did…

I added…

Artificial Plants: Radiators can get really hot during winter, so natural plants are not a choice; I found this gorgeous Silk Succulent from Commercial Silk, they can serve as décor throughout the whole year.

Portraits and frames of different sizes, but similar colors: Just to add more depth and to balance the whole décor.

Candle holders, decorative plates or antique clocks: To make the décor more elegant and modern.

My radiator looks modern and in tune with the whole house, just make sure that whatever you decide to use as decoration is not flammable as they can get really hot during winter. 🙂

If you like this idea Commercial Silk is gifting you a coupon for 10% off at www.silkplantsdirect.com just use the code “BLOGGER10” and you can start decorating the whole house ( I put one in my kitchen as well!) with these beautiful plants.

As always let us know your thoughts and don’t forget to give us a like in our social media channels…

Happy Decorating and see you soon!

Johanny
